Pursuing someone from jaywalking across a street that isn't even busy is a pretty unjustifiable reason to provoke someone (He wasn't pursuing him. He was just telling him to walk on the sidewalk)even if you are a cop. That's something you just tell someone not to do (Exactly how it was...), considering Brown was already making his way to the sidewalk. (no)
And I'm wondering just what aggressive resistance an unarmed person could be capable of from a distance away.
There's quite a history of Darren Wilson's aggression in the past that would influence excessive force.
You may or may not have watched Darren Wilson's interview, but Brown was being difficult and not listening to what he was told, and was telling Wilson, "F--- what you say." Wilson then told Brown to come over to his car so he could talk to him. When Brown reached the car, Wilson started to open his door. Brown shoved the door closed. Wilson tried opening it again and Brown continued to stand in the way. They were staring each other down through the open window and then Brown jumped through the window (not sure if it was through the window, or he opened the door first) trying the reach the gun to shoot Wilson in the waist. Wilson knocked the gun out of the way and Brown jumped out. He started to run away and Wilson ordered him to stop. Wilson gets out of the car and Brown turns, and starts charging Wilson head on. After several warnings and multiple barrages of shots (separated by more warnings), Brown was killed.
