Smartwatches

Do you guys think smartwatches are worth it?

I want to get one, but I can't decide which one.

There's this; http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00IGJ67R2/ref=twister_B00OTK7WQM?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

Or this; http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00KX828DG/ref=twister_B00I9XEF9C?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

The martian is a bit better looking, but both are meh.

Then there's this, which is $199. I'd rather not spend as much as I spent on my phone for my watch.

http://www.amazon.com/Pebble-Android-Devices-Brushed-Stainless/dp/B00KVHEL8E/ref=sr_1_1?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1416628319&sr=1-1&keywords=pebble+steel

Same goes with the Android Wear watches; they're awfully expensive.

Anyone have any of these/have experience with these? If not, do you see yourself getting a smartwatch?

/discuss smartwatches, I guess

I like smartwatches because I can finally go beep boop on my wrist tentacle like I'm James Bond.

but squids don't have wrists
:O

I like the idea for a smart watch, but if your going to shell out a few hundred dollars for one, go for one that actually looks good.
One that actually looks like a smart device.

That one in the first link looks so bootleg.

I'd say the martian or the one you explicitly said you didn't want to buy. I'd rather have a nice looking watch that gives the simple features over something that looks like it's a spygear toy

Yah, there's something about the Steel that just looks so classy.

If I'm going to buy a watch, I want it to look at least fairly nice, smartwatch or not.

Also, the steel is often given the title of best smartwatch (for now, anyway).
