Anyone tried this to make new player animations?

So uh, can someone try to do this? I think it would work!

1. Use Shaper to export the Blockhead model
2. Pop the Blockhead model into Blender
3. Add your own bones
4. Animate to heart's content
6. Re-add the nodes from the default player
7. Export it as a new .dts, animate brand new .dsq animations
8. Have a script which does the following:
Colors the custom model's nodes with the same colors as the player's color selections on the default player.
Unhide/hide nodes on the new model according to the player's character customization (hat/back item)
9. Bingo.

10. Notice that I skipped 5.
11. Check that I skipped 5.
