no such thing as cheap earbuds that dont suck

why not get headphones, just wondering?

I hate the feeling of things on top of my head

because headphones will bend and break when you're sleeping (if that's what op does), and aren't as portable as ear buds

Apple earbuds can last a decent amount of time and they're cheap.

I've owned the green versions of these earbuds for like two years now. If you can get over the cruddy build quality, the sound quality of these is pretty good (for the price). Bass is surprisingly punchy and doesn't muddy the other frequencies or clip like trash. It's mostly neutral until you hit the highs, which are pretty understated. You might find these a little muffled at first, but if you give them some time the sound signature will grow on you. The highs will never be sibilant or fatiguing. Decent amount of detail.

Be aware that the driver housing might split apart with extensive use. Mine split apart constantly since whatever adhesive they used to fuse the two halves wore off, but the sound coming from them is still flawless.

Other choices (haven't tried any of these):

The MEElectronics RX12P also get good reviews, though some complain that the bass is overpowering and can muddy the sound.

Someone on the BL forums previously suggested these Monoprice earbuds, but I don't know how they sound like.

These are spectacular for the price. Great bass, mids, and highs. I've had mine for over a year and not a single issue. I've owned $60 earbuds that are blown out of the water by these.

If those are too expensive, I've had these too.

They're very good for only 8 bucks. They're top rated on Amazon for a reason. ;)
Only problem is that it looks like the cord might snag off the earbud. I never experienced it though.

Another pair that I haven't owned are these.

Being Panasonic and a newer model than the 120K mentioned above, I'm inclined to believe they're better.

have them too
theyre AWFUL imo
they don't stand up well, and I constantly hear weird noises from them

i have the samsung earbuds that came with my dad's phone and they're really good. they've lasted me around like, 3 years and the only issue with them is that the volume buttons don't work and the plastic around the jack has started to yellow a little.

what are you saying
apple earbuds do last, unless you do crazy stuff like hang from them

klipsch are honestly some of the best earphones you can get
