I just want to know why this MiG has a balkenkreuz on it
Mig-29 was in service throughout the warsaw pact. When the berlin wall fell, the two germanies united formed one united military. The Mig-29's were used for a short while, then they were sold to Poland and other bothers. Other's were scrapped or made as museum pieces. Tons of East German equipment got scrapped or sold.
north koreas a joke. so small, and yet such a big "bad ass" personality. they show off all that outdated tech but have nothing to fire it at (except the newborn women and south Koreans)
All they have to do is rush and take Seoul and hold it. Their military is a bit dated, but they still have some chance to perform a capable offensive for a few days. On the other hand North Korea has lot of mountains, hills, tunnels, and villages, which makes it a fortress. Tanks and IFVs/APCs can't simply blitzkrieg through high terrain. A lot of valleys and narrow roads can become congested with vehicle wreckage which can make advancing further more difficult. An attacking army requires ammo, fuel, and spare parts. Those hills can hide infantry and anti air. They can just lay out some mines and ambush an unsuspecting enemy, any supply aircraft flying over can be ambushed by infantry equipped with MANPADS, a AAA, or AA.
They are also known to store things underground. So they can roll equipment out and hide it again, plus with sams everywhere, you can't just bunker buster everything until the problem goes away without losing some multimillion dollar jets. Flares aren't going to save your ass from radar guided missiles, and modern radar systems render chaff worthless. Infrared missiles can still target SEAD(Suppression of Enemy Air Defenses and DEAD(Destruction of enemy air defense) planes.
Other things to consider are the numbers of sick and hungry people and how primitive the place is. Ground forces are going to be dealing with malnourished people, sick people, contaminated water, soil which is home to tons of harmful microbes, and some crazy loyalists.
The also maintains a small garrison, so most of the fighting would be done by South Korean's while the US and NATO forces provide support.
