Author Topic: i found a really "sad" article about a brony  (Read 13747 times)

How is it people are so easily brought into it? I've stayed over at a hard-core bronies house and he put it on Netflix, a few episodes. I seen them and it didn't even slightly move me.
a lot of bronies are bronies because they can fit in easily. they don't have to like the show or like mlp at all. they just need a title or group to be in

they also have a serious attitude issue. like those jackass nerds you meet in real life that act like douches and keep wondering why no one likes them

I know that not all of them watch it, I'm talking about how people end up seeing one episode and go head-over-heals for it.

I'm not sure what sort of attitude issue you're talking about by that, unless you mean the whole 'watch it or you're a bitch' attitude.

they either like it a lot or they are in serious denial to try and prove their loyalty to the fandom. either way because of how non caring bronies are of each other, they usually allow these over the top fanboys to pass by. sometimes they even encourage it but in reality no one in the fandom cares or tells them to shut the forget up so it gets worse. main point: they aren't actually head over heels for it, they are just trying to fit in. and since no one is stopping them, it can get a bit over the top

major self entitlement attitude issue. the whole "no hate allowed" attitude

Alright, that makes sense to me. I suppose after running into so many people who are so obsessed with it to the point they've tried forcing me into it I happened to get the wrong idea of it.

are we forgetting about the train conductor?  how must he feel?  did we miss the victory party?

i heard rummord he is hospitalized atm because he broke his ankle during his victory dance

I really can't feel sympathy for him. It was his choice. If you want to kill yourself, go ahead, but don't expect me to feel even a wee bit sorry.

This situation has ugly written all over it.

I don't know the kid in real life. He could have some sort of annoying kid that pissed everyone off around him, he could have been autistic, he could have been just fan of the show.

I'm not going to blame the victim, but I am going to say what he should have done from the start What I do know is that when you deal with a situation like this you don't feed bullies. Publically declaring yourself to be something is not a good idea. It's a tv show marketed toward young girls, announcing you are fan of that would be like announcing that you are into hardcore BDSM and inflation. People that hate you would just use that stuff against you. The kid should have stopped using facebook, or whatever social website, changed his online name, and kept that thing secret.

I don't if that was a automatically operated train or if a conductor was on board, but either the conductor or the emergency crews are going to have a hard time sleeping. Same with the family.

The saying of think before you say something definitely holds light here. Next time you guys want to post something, think about how people would react to it. Things like is it really worth mentioning this, or how would this affect my relationship with people, or how would my employer react to this if he or she saw this?

The thing governs itself, no need for protection from me.

Many people in my family (include my Dad, uncles, Grandfather etc) work or worked as Funeral Directors. I've known a few people who've died, and I've seen bodies.

If you can't laugh at death, what chance do you have? It's grim, but there's no use getting so worked up over people who aren't here any more. You might as well crack a joke and keep the rest of us who are alive nice and happy. That's probably what the people who've died wanted.
What is so funny about a person being bullied until they jumped under a train?

Yes, sometimes it is necessary to laugh at it, especially when you have to deal with it for a living. You've seen bodies? Wow! So has 80% of the forums I'm sure. Boo hoo. Have you seen bodies in person with blunt force trauma. A body all cleaned up in a funeral home is nothing compared to the work of those who had to throw this kids mangled body parts into a bag and scrape his guts off the underbody of a train.

Last week firefighters I know responded to a fatal car accident. A car speeding down a road hit a curb and flipped up into a tree. 3 people, all 21-22 years old, died. 1 person was ejected from the car, 2 were partially ejected. The car had body parts of the occupants laying everywhere around the scene. One body was missing a head and the entire interior of the car was soaked with blood.

These are the people who need to learn to laugh at death because the stuff we see is so forgeted up that if we don't laugh, we break down. You kids know nothing about this stuff. People who deal with it for a living have to laugh. But you guys don't have to deal with it for a living. You were not on the scene nor do know the victim. You can't say "well its probably what they would have wanted" because you didn't know them. You are acting like starfishs for the sake of being starfishs. But hey it's the Blockland forums so what can I expect.

by no means would i recommend ending pain with Self Delete, especially from the internet, but how can you guys sit here and hound him like this? i get cause "its Self Delete and Self Delete is stupid", but that still doesn't eradicate the fact its still a horrible thing to happen to someone, and the people around them

just because people die every day doesn't mean we should just totally ignore and make fun of the cases that are brought to light. i dont know the guy or his family so im not breaking down in tears or dedicating my life to him, and honestly after i post this ill probably go about my regular day cause i dont really care that much, but making train jokes like that is forgeted up

i get that its easy for us not involved to care and make jokes about it, but you really got to think about all the other people that had to deal with it, like destroyer said

its hard to care about someone you dont know and trust me i get that, but man you kids are weird

And Charlespeaking; was happy. :^)

I couldn't express it better. Hats off to you, mod-man!

This is a shame to economists everywhere. I'll bet that railroad company lost a lot of business (if it was civilian transport or the like) with that bloody mess all over their wonder of modern economic and technological progress.
if you really dont get it then google "adam smith"
