The way that guy talks is infuriating. He's got like a male-version of the Valley Girl dialect.

I'm going to sit here, laughing at how guns totally "saved the day". Because those cops were able to use their bigger guns to stop the crazy gun with his gun. amirite guys?

Because you have time to defend yourself when you are in a tight space (cop car) and get shot in the face point blank.

This is a matter of 3-4 seconds. It isn't slow mo and the dude says "Hello cops. I am going to shoot you. I'll give you a minute or two to defend yourself!"

Humour is a brilliant way to air out all the dirty issues in society. That's why Australians tell the best jokes; we have no restrictions, we're just brutally honest with our jokes about race, religion, love and whatnot. Humour isn't about mockery (it could be, but it isn't), it's about showing that we're not all perfect, and we should have a laugh about it since there's not really a way to fix that.

"jokes on them i was only pretending as joke"

You're also trying to use humor on the internet which is primarily conveyed through expression and emotion. They also took your post seriously given your stance on the gun topic you made in regards to Australia. You're a loving idiot if ive ever seen one.

Of course they did.

The joke is that people who came into the topic saying "Guns will save us" wasn't necessarily true. Yeah, these guys were killed in a surprise attack they had no way of defending. What I'm laughing about is people who blindly think that guns are the answer to everything, which I hope is nobody here.

It's stuff like this that makes me wary of guns. But I'm having a laugh about it because there's no point getting paranoid over something that has little chance of happening yet.

There have already been shootings that have popped up in Australia

Or are you referring to people actually defending themselves with a gun against an attacker?

Context needed
Guns aren't in the mainstream yet, so the only people with them usually have a specific target in mind, and I doubt I've made anybody angry enough to get myself shot yet.

When guns become easily accessible and more widespread, then I'll probably be more paranoid of some guy waltzing down the street shooting everybody in sight.
