Only through careful usage of throttle control and airbrakes. I was still accelerating (slowly) even at 33% throttle. If I set my throttle to 100% and fly straight I'll hit 900km/h in a minute or two.
This is in RB, by the way.

Updated versions of the hispano cannons. Essentially they make them not suck.

I just noticed the typhoon line one of the planes has 20mm cannons with 600 ammo
now I regret not going down that line
