isn't donating used to pay for a dedicated hosting service? (RTB pre-shutdown, HamHost or whatever that thing was, etc.)

i'm not even sure what's wrong with hosting yourself unless your internet connection really sucks and/or you're busy. there's no problem with administrating your own server.
