get the protagonist stuck in Danlkcolb (modify if you want), a video game created by enigmatic authors. Like Homestuck or something. Make some major antagonists or helpers to the protagonist users from BL, or notable ones.
i.e in the ye olde days there was the great arch hullabaloo shaper and magician Ephialtes, but today he has disappeared, etc.
