So guys, that means he (hopefully) didn't pay $799 and (hopefully) only paid at most $599. Based on the correct specs (http://www.asus.com/us/Desktops/M32BF/specifications/) how do we think he fared?

Look at the pricing on the Bestbuy link I posted, that stuff's $579 on sale and $599 normally and I'm pretty positive that it's the exact same machine as what you bought.

No, the guy at Best Buy charged me $799
I read on the screen "Total: $799.99"

Did you like get insurance on it

Fun fact about the pricing: It's a lot worse than the reference cost.

Places like Best Buy, JB Hi-Fi and Harvey Norman have salesmen who are there to basically sell you products. To pay for those guys, all of the products in the store are a couple hundred dollars more expensive. It sounds like bullstuff, but it really is serious; companies consider their service worth the extra money you're paying.

Never buy at these places.

Okay lol, I used to always get my computers at Staples or Sam's Club.
I'll note not to buy computers from Best Buy again.
Also, is the fan supposed to be loud as hell? I can barely hear over my own voice, and I speak pretty loud..

damn better get it checked out

Depends on what sort of sound it is, if it sounds like anything other than you'd expect a piece of plastic spinning really fast to sound then there might be a problem

Dumbass, I paid $400 for this stuff tier PC and I can run max shaders
(with a GTX 650 installed, $125)
