if I ever got sideswiped or shoved off the road by some starfish and they kept going I'd probably chase after them if I didn't think I'd hurt my car further by driving it
You'd probably be in such a state of shock that you just wouldn't. You'd be more worried about if you injured yourself or how damaged the car is.

And unless you were just pushed onto flat grass next to you on a straight road, you'd probably have difficulty getting back onto the road in time to actually chage them down.

I was almost hit by a Jeep Grand Cherokee last night when getting onto Interstate 64. I was changing lanes to get onto Interstate 270 (had to get over left, because the right lane went north and I wanted south). I looked over my shoulder and the Jeep was two lanes to the left, so I started signalling to change lanes. At the same time, he started to change lanes right (no signal, mind you). I didn't see him being in such a large vehicle with a roof pillar right next to my head, so he made a short honk. I hit the brakes because he was going faster than I was, so he pushed his way into my line of travel and we both went south onto 270.

Everything was good then, but I ended up behind him again about four miles later and he was driving 10 under the speed limit. When I used my signal to go around him, he immediately started going faster and surged forward, only to slow down again. I just moved over an extra lane, accelerated a bit harder, and passed him when he became stuck behind a line of cars trying to exit the interstate.

Considering I thought I actually hit the lamppost I just stopped for a few minutes to catch my breath. Like it first I thought I hit the lamppost and it ruined the front/side of my car, but when I got out and looked I was fine.

My school let me go out to the parking lot so I could check for damage (Or flat) during lunch,

well at least your wheel looks kinda badass now

You can polish that out no problem.

Same.  I'd consider stuff like this a hit and run.

Almost happened to me when I was in Hungary in 2012, but we didn't hit anything. Thankfully you're alright

Geez that looks like a one lane roundabout why the heck was he cutting around?

It's two lane, but the street it enters onto is a one lane.

Ah. Lines on the road are so faded that I can't really tell. handicapped of that guy regardless.

No your right, what you are seeing is the one lane exit off the road-a-bout, the actual round-a-bout is behind me, not in picture.
