| General:
Mirrors can be composed of any reflective material, though usually they are composed of glass with a thin foil suck on at the back of the glass. When photons hit any substance, they are either absorbed or reflected. Usually when they are reflected by an object, they are scattered thus making the object visible to humans without the object seeming reflective, even though it really is reflecting photons. In a mirror, the photons aren't scattered when they are reflected thus allowing us to see an absolute reflection of the surroundings around the mirror. |
