The issue with an increase in minimum wage is that somebody has to pay for it and that's the employers, if minimum wage rises less people will be able to be employed by a company because they usually have a specific wage budget.

honestly if a business can't survive without paying bare minimum they have a flawed business model.

The thing is businesses that have lots of minimum wage employees can't afford to keep paying them more every 6 months. Picture how many people work for somewhere like a multi-branch supermarket on minimum wage now multiply the number of people by the increase in wage and by the hours they work a year and it'll come to a huge increase in the budget.

I think minimum wage is Mass was just raised to $9/hr thats already good enough
