--- Quote from: Foxscotch on April 27, 2015, 05:08:21 PM ---is that so --- End quote --- Yep, one on Hiroshima and one on Nagasaki. Only two nukes dropped from a plane. After WW2 in the Cold War the school of thought was just to fly planes and drop nukes, however that idea became obsolete when the soviets acquired designs to make their own from scientists who defected to the east. Plus the Soviets invented the first guided anti-air missile to target bombers and jets that could fly higher and faster were a threat to bombers. In response to the SAM and jet fighter, the ICBMs were made to be launched from ships, from silos, from vehicles, from submarines, and from all sorts of planes. However now we are looking at ways of intercepting a missile from far away distances. That is what warfare has always been, rock paper scissors. Basically who can outdo the other guy first and win. I'd like to hear plan on why and how we cut defense spending even further than what it really is. |

Well it's been hours. I guess that is what I get for trying to expect reason from someone can't even elaborate on why they disagree with someone's thoughts. |
