Dwarf Planet. But it's not a significantly sized body (there are numerous similarly sized objects in that region of space), it's at an extremly elliptical orbit, not on the same plane as the other 8 planets, and it hasn't cleared its vicinity of other objects. By definition it is a planet, but it's not one of the main planets of the solar system. |

if we were to consider a planet then there's dozens upon dozens of other pluto-sized objects that we would also have to consider planets so for that reason it's just considered a "large Kuiper belt object" |
