I remember riding with my great grandfather (RIP) in his PT Cruiser. His wife, my grandpa (my great grandfather's stepson), and I were all in there. It was probably one of the last times he ever drove a car, because while at a stop sign entering a highway, he kept squinting down the road. He started to pull into the middle of the highway in front of a truck coming at about 60mph. My grandpa literally jumped through the center of the car from the back seat and grabbed the steering wheel to avoid collision. The excitement was enough to get my great grandfather to hit the brakes, but had my grandpa not done that we could've been in a high speed t-bone accident. |
