Author Topic: Gravity System  (Read 1349 times)

A system that works similarly to the one in Super Mario Galaxy,

Impossible, at least in that same style.

While theoretically you can constantly apply a force to the player to cancel gravity and another to push them towards a planet, you couldn't rotate them and you certainly couldn't control the player unless you're on the top.

Xalos' realistic space mod flaws your argument. It's possible but I seriously doubt Xalos would release it.

pretty much this and zapk is actually making that

there's an unfinished version knocking around the forums iirc

all zapk can really do is make the player gravitate torwards the asteroids. thats it. no fancy walk on the bottom side, you can only really walk on the top. It's a limitation of the engine.

you could theoretically use some dumb vehicle thing but that's obv an unsatisfactory solution

orbiting bodies is defo possible though

I wish my ABC player was as good as yours </3 but I gotta say that's a fancy gravity thing you got going on.
