"Nah, we had state of the art tanks. Doesn't mean the enemy in Palestra did. Towards the end of the war when we destroyed a bunch of their good tanks, they would get desperate and start deploying whatever they could manage to get. If you weren't paying attention you could almost swear you were fighting the Porlaquians. Their fighting skill of course quickly reminded you that they weren't idiots like Porlaq soldiers are. We captured a bunch of these old tanks and re-purposed them into artillery batteries that we'd leave hidden behind us in the foothills. It also gave the convicts-gone-soldier something to do since nobody else wanted much to do with them... it was also one of our biggest mistakes... but, either way-"

I'm sure his reputation at being loving stupid but somehow getting away with it has reached even the airforces ears. His inherent love for employing convicts to use taboo tactics is one of his more well known practices."
