--- Quote from: Qwepir on November 03, 2016, 06:14:53 PM ---You are admitted to the event and take a spot at the firing line. Pansar opens his gun bag, containing what he describes as "just the essentials": A pump-action shotgun, a hunting rifle, a hunting revolver, a single-shot break-action grenade launcher, and a bizarre looking handgun of obscene caliber. Tippy is able to identify most of the weapons, if not by name at least by how it looks, but the last gun eludes her. It's a snub-nosed bolt-action pistol, fed by a magazine ahead of the trigger assembly. The grip looks like it could have began life as the hilt of a sword, going by the leather wrapping and the mace-like pommel, and the rest of the gun almost looks like it was hammered out of pig iron.

Tippy looks at the gun curiously.

"That gun there has a lot of character to it. What's the story and what's it called?"

He nods and keeps watching the TV.

: It's something I made myself, in my spare time. It only shoots special ammo, which I also made myself, in my spare time. Took me two years of off-and-on work and a trip to the hospital to get it right, but check this out.

Pansar takes an ammo box out of his bag and opens it. Inside are sixteen very large blunt-nosed pistol cartridges.
: 14.7 millimeter. Muzzle velocity in the vicinity of 1100 feet per second. Over three thousand pounds of force applied to whatever they hit. If the gun itself didn't weigh eight pounds, we'd be looking at some serious shattered wrists.
: That sounds... I'm sorry, but that sounds horrendously impractical.
: Hah! You're goddamned right it is! I'd never trust my life to this thing, but bringing it to a range to atomize some gourds and make a hell of a noise doing it? I't say it works well enough.

"Nice. I brought some weapons of my own, though none of them are custom made. I do have, however, something particularly rare which you might like."

Tippy unloaded her weapon bag which actually split up into two. In her first bag she kept the broken down rifle, which she planned to throw together during the shooting. The other bag had her various smaller items. She shoved the Imperial Assault Rifle along with a few other "wild-west" weapons aside and pulled out what appeared to be a shotgun.

"This, is the TTT-255 revolving shotgun. It was my father's during his time on the force and was used for breaching primarily. The police stopped buying these after everyone figured out that revolving shotguns weren't all that practical, took them long enough but these things were really loving nice."

Tippy spun the cylinder and the loud clicks sounded off in sweet succession.

"Her name is Melancholy, and her favorite food is 12 gauge slugs. The gunsmith has her modified to be broken down to a shorter sawn off barrel and stock for a "pistol" mode. In that state it's barely legal and 100% awesome. Much like your homemade pistol there, its heavy enough so your wrists don't shatter like glass. Production was short, so they're starting to become more rare with people either losing them overtime or gun laws just making it hard to obtain one. If you wanna have a go, i got plenty of 12 gauge till midnight."

Bell hands a small folder with the flight plans and schedule to Faw.

"Anyways, it'll only be for a week."

"I see. Thanks."

Faw takes the folder and thumbs through it, skimming over the flight schedules and manifests.

"I've actually always wanted to visit that area. Lots of beautiful mountain ranges and ski resorts. Probably a more interesting place to live than where I'm from."
