It's nowhere near as bad as the slop you had to endure in the Delta, and is even a considerable step up from Valhallan food. Traditional breakfast staples are present, though the servers have obviously put a greater effort into preparing the food than the ones at Valhalla ever did.

The mess hall is very crowded, way more so than you're used to. Seating is available, but there isn't a table present that doesn't have at least a few people sitting already.

Tippy, having been up way too early that morning, bided her time in a corner table listening to her Kintharian language tapes and sipping coffee. She quietly mouthed the words as they were said and wrote down the more complicated ones.
["Bread. I has a loaf of bread."]
Tippy thought about the phrase a little longer after hitting pause and aimed to correct it.
["Bread. I have. I have a loaf of bread."]
