Firing the plasma cannon reveals a rather serious design flaw in that you are temporarily blinded by the roiling blast of energy that emerges from right in front of you. With the afterimage still lingering in your eyes, you risk a second glance to confirm the effect on target. The plasma shot fails to connect with the SAM storage area, instead punching right between the two rear turrets and emerging from the other side in a gout of green flame. Though thoroughly shaken, the destroyer remains airborne.

Badger:
Walter scrunches his eyes shut from the light, slowly regaining he begins to laugh at the massive hole in the side of the destroyer
"goodness, I have an excuse to wear shades or get an even more tinted visor now."
Walter takes a moment to aim near the center of the ship again as his vision pieces very slowly back together.
Gojira:
"Holy stuff, Walt, what is that thing?"
Yui stays below building level, because forget burst missiles.
