Badger:
Walter feels the Shiva lurch as the beam connects with his fuselage and damage indicators pop up
"I have to disengage, My airframe can't take much more especially with all these guns on the field."
He fires his remaining seeker at nox-12 then turns away to head towards the carrier
ZombiLoin:
Faw's plane shakes as the beam cannon rips through his right wing. After wrestling with the controls he manages to stabilize himself.
He takes a look at the condition of the other pilots in Mjolnir. Walt and Scorch both have fuselages with the structural integrity of balsa wood, and his left wing was liable to disintegrate in a stiff breeze. He clicks on the radio.
"I, Walt, and Scorch are too battered to continue fighting like this. We're going to start egressing to the carrier soon. We're going to try and dump as much remaining ordinance as we can before falling back."
Faw pauses for a second. Explaining to the higher ups how Mjolnir lost a pilot and put nearly all of their planes on life support wasn't going to be easy.
"Blackeye, Aero, now that the Scarabs are out of commission I want you to shift your attention to the Umbrals, we don't need to get shot in the tail by LCB fire at long range. I want two missiles each on Umbrals 2 to 5. HSMs preferably, RGMs if that's all you have."
Faw fires a parting shot at Umbral-6 with all his guns before turning around and falling back.
