The VTOL is carried along the drop track as Virvel continues muttering to nobody in particular, either unaware or uncaring of the fact that she's still on the intercom.
: Four flight missions in one day, what the forget am I doing? Might as well try to beat my record and go for six at this point...
Walter's "tower of terror" comment soon proves to be less of an exaggeration than Gus and Jaakko may have thought when he first said it. A brief sensation of weightlessness quickly gives way to a relentless thrashing as the VTOL drops from the carrier and exits its slipstream, and then it's smooth sailing as it makes its way towards Yui's last known location. The sun is well on its way through the process of setting, leaving the dominant source of illumination for the journey to be the dim cabin lighting.
