The anchor is speaking to a field reporter about the offensive you took part in. According to military officials, removing the Myrmidon from play was a major turning point of the battle for Taiton; but they're predicting it will still take days, even weeks before EP forces will be removed from the city. This is all being spoken over some cut-together footage acquired by cameras on the front lines; mostly "safe" things like shaky amateur camera footage of the air battle, a shot of the carrier's aft end sticking out of the bay, the point-of-view of a kintharian quadrotor in its last seconds before it gets taken out by an EMP grenade, and Mercanan soldiers preparing to breach a room.
No specific or useful military-related information is mentioned, and you have a feeling in your gut that the fighting going on is a lot worse than the TV is making it seem.
