3b your survival kit is hanging from suit harness. It had a life raft, sea dye, and shark repellant.

well he knows there's sharks and other dangerus marine life and stuff but there obviously isn't anything even close to the fleet, especially since they used the super ultra mega cannon
but since we're in the middle of the ocean there's probably sharks anyways
airmen are equipped with a service pistol correct?

Correction:
He knows there are carnivorous armored fish that reach 10 meters long that live around the Huits' territorial waters. They are often seen following and attacking large ships, and debates rage on whether they are so monumentally stupid they think boats are whales, or are clever enough to realize that boats are huge tins of bite-sized food morsels.
