yes but i was thinking that by disturbed he meant that they went away/got killed or something

I try to come up with a plan.
"Wait. Couldn't some of us seed chaff to throw off the point defense and then fire off our munitions?"

"Hey, guys, that barrel probably isn't as tough as it looks... I could be wrong, but I'm guessing the breech still has a vulnerable moment when the ammo's being chambered. If we could provoke it into firing so that it'd have to reload, and then we fired a few missiles down the barrel... hey, you never know."
