My aircraft being miraculously unscathed somehow I leave in the hanger and go to assist others with their damages.

I look to see who's making the statement about the F-14. It's Tippy.
"I'd say these things got worse as they aged. Maintenance times got exponentially longer for every hour of flight time put on the airframe. If I recall correctly though, that's why they were exported,"
I pause and inspect the roosterpit.
"Though, these things are so loving big, that if you found decent airframes, you could tear out all the old bulky avionics and replace them with newer digital stuff. There would also be no need for a RIO in the rear seat,"

"Re-purposing would be fantastic. If i could manage to get my hands on one i'd take the time to re-outfit it. Would probably be easier to do unlike the OTHER project i have back on base..."

I climb onto the aircraft and approach Tippy. I stand on the center-rear of the fuselage and hold my arms out to the sides, genturing to the aircraft.
"Here's your airframe, I mean, it's not NAUC's and if the rebels are using trucks with aircraft rocket pods on the back as artillery, who would give a forget if they got a jury rigged Tomcat?"
I look at the aircraft.
"What projects would you have back at base? loving with the TV's to be able to change it from Gladiator Crashers to Skeleton Man?"
