You get the shot lined up, but not before the Jag expends the rest of its ordnance.

The Sabre keeps on you, unaware of what's bearing down on him from above. It fires a short burst with its lasers again, likely attempting to knock out the LAMS turret.

One of the missiles is evaded, the second strikes it in the rear and does serious damage to one of its thrusters. The last Sabre, seeing this, disengages from Gladiator and starts coming after you instead.
Seeing nearly all its allies destroyed, Jaguar-1 attempts to flee the battlefield. Burning and possibly about to sink, some of the Kintharian assault ships prematurely begin launching their landing hovercraft.
Operator¹:
"Disengage from the Jaguars and help out with these Sabres, we can't provide support for the assault force if we get shot down."
Bell launches off an AAM at her pursuer and uses it as a chance to hopefully get it off of her tail, angling her aircraft to keep the Sabre from shooting up the laser turret.
Mr. Hurricane:
I get giddy and fire the P3 into the Sabre. I engage the air break and pull off early as to give myself more room to get the Corsair to turn.
