Roger fades in and out of consciousness for several minutes after the ejection. When he finally comes to, he finds himself tangled up in the branches of a large tree and in some rather serious pain. It feels like his legs have been burned, his left arm is broken, and some of his ribs are definitely bruised, possibly even broken. The din of battle can be heard far away, the sounds of hungry wildlife somewhat closer, and a familiar, arguably even more unsettling sound coming from about ten feet below you.
