Tippy pulls another full mag from the ammo crate and offers it to Yui

"You wanna? There's no ammo shortage for this gun as its been re-chambered for the more common round on this base. Added bonus that i get to clean the gun some more later. Its super fun to shoot and i'd feel like a hog if i didn't share the experience with the other members."

"Sure, why not?"
Yui takes the magazine from Taylor's hand, struggles for a moment locating the receiver, and finally loads the rifle, pulling back the charging handle.

Tippy steps aside and motion's Yui to overlook the range.

"Safety's on. keep your finger off the trigger until you're ready to shoot. You know the drill."

"Thank you."
Yui looks down the sights, turns off the safety, puts her finger on the trigger, and takes a few shots downrange.
"Wow, this thing really does kick."

: That's nuts! I wanna meet that thing.

"If you're lucky it might be loitering around near her room, I'm half suspicious of it but I guess shes fixed it up. I don't know why R&D hasn't came to nab it yet either."

Jaakko looks around Bell's office, then turns his attention to her.

"I'll let you be ma'am," he says.

Jaakko leaves and goes to run his dogs, reflecting on their destructiveness if not given something constructive to wear them out.

Outside it is not warm, so far north it only gets to be around seventy, with that pushing it. Jaakko reflects that the dogs probably find anything under eighty-five and sixty percent humidity. He figured that the dogs would be too occupied to care.

Jaakko takes the dogs to an open area of the airbase and produces a few toys. He brought two balls for throwing, one which had an irregular shape and was bounce to confuse the stuff out of the dogs, and one which did not bounce which was exclusively for throwing and retrieving. Both of which were blue, so as to allow the dogs to actually see their toys and to give the illusion that the dogs were in fact brighter than they really were.

The last one was a long toy that could be used for tug of war, or thrown like one of those Imperial grenades with the handles.

Jaakko captures the dogs attention, and chucks the throwing ball down range. The dogs give chase.

Yui finishes off the magazine a couple shots at a time, then flicks the safety back on and removes the now empty magazine.
"That was so. Much. Fun."

Another week or so goes by, during which Virvel, Kommandant, and Eremit are barely present. The next time anyone sees them is at today's briefing. Kommandant is standing front and center by the projector screen, and Raiden and the rest of Djuriskas are already seated. Once everyone takes their seats, he begins his briefing with a slide of a desert region that some of you are able to identify.

: These are the Rostig Mountains, on the south Aesthian border. Should look familiar to some of you, we just destroyed one of their major resupply stations in the region. Somewhat counter-intuitively, in light of the recent attack the whole range has become a hotspot for Imperial aerial activity. This sector in particular, creatively named Airship Alley, is crawling with patrols, typically two destroyers with escort of six to ten planes. Today, we're going to steal one.

The next slide is a more focused shot of the mission area, with representations of allied and enemy forces on display.
: Pansar, Frisk, we're only here for one of the airships, so I want you two to take down the second. Raiden, we need you to de-claw the one we're going to take, shoot out its anti-air. Mjolnir, I want you to deal with the fighter screen, and any reinforcements they might send after us. I know you work best with a little flexibility, so don't hesitate to help the other groups if you can, but your primary objective is anti-air.

The next slide is the unwelcome sight of a particular transport aircraft.
: After the escort and the anti-air are taken care of, a platoon of Marines will arrive in a SI-130 and deploy directly onto the remaining vessel using the assault pods; with Virvel, Eremit, and myself accompaying them. The three of us are going to stay low and out of the way until the actual fighters clear a path to the bridge, where we will then pilot the vessel back to Aesthian territory. Once Izzy figures out we've stolen his ship, he's going to try to make sure we don't leave with it, so at that point anyone still carrying strike ordnance is to rearm for anti-air. Protect us until we meet up with the Kresvaarder and the Svekzhivot, they'll escort us the rest of the way home. If we fail this, I doubt there will ever be another opportunity to try again. Let's make it happen.

After he concludes his briefing, the meteorological officer shares projected environmental data for the mission.
Time of Day: Mid-day
Weather: Clear Skies

Mission will start tomorrow, when I get home from work. As of right now, Crash's suggested list has first priority to go on the mission (I'm including Ellie in there too).
The line up is, Tippy, Walt, Whiskey, Gus, Faw, and Lorens.

i'll be busy for the whole weekend but not for the rest of the week if you need a sub

Jaakko snaps his fingers right as Bell finishes her sentence.

"He was on the raid on the repair docks. Perhaps we'll take Yui in his place,"
:(

"Why are you three piloting the airship home? I would think there would be more suitable pilots for the task than three veteran air aces."

Gus folds his arms and frowns.

Loadout set but I might change according to ESAM if it gets changed at any point

mine's fixed as well, i'm taking the corsair if zombi's willing to let me go

Where the hell did we get the Deltan transport?
