I can't change my forum pic to a .gif

I've been playing with some .gif editors to make myself a gif icon, but it comes up with the "Error- Took too long to upload or too big than the server will allow" thing. I made a comparison between another gif icon (right) and mine (left):

With the comparison, it should be perfectly compatible, but I can't find the problem. Anyone know what it is?

This has been an issue with SMF for a while and it is unlikely that it will get fixed.

I've had issues if it wasn't exactly 75x75, try sizing it to that

Resize it to 74x74 and try that.
