Author Topic: Unreal Engine out for Free  (Read 3615 times)

Don't worry, Pie Crust is pulling stuff from his ass. He's probably never even seen a snippet of C#, let alone develop a hate of it.

Let's not hate on each other; keep on topic! :)

Really would like to see what other people can do with Unreal (since I can't do anything)

Don't fret, pie crust probably doesn't even code to begin with, and considering he's a compulsive liar I'd doubt anything he says.
Did you even look at the Coding Help board? I know C, C++ and some Torque. If interpreted languages are included, then add Lua, BASIC and FORTH to the list.

Can anyone recall for me if Unreal Engine 4 has VR support?
I might remake

If it does, and that makes me excited.

Here's some proof that I can code.

If you think this is shopped, here's the code. Compile it yourself.

Note: that K should be an N. :c It's hard to make an N with 3x5 pixels.

It's been one of their big selling points, especially in the newest 4.7 version. Should be compatible with both Oculus and the HTC thing.

Not at all efficient, dude.

Is the HTC already for sale for devs?

I whipped it up this morning. What did you expect?

Effort, but I guess that's in vain with you.

Give me a few more minutes.

Just did a bit of research. HTC Vive units aren't out yet, and Vive integration has only just been announced by Epic but hasn't been included in Unreal 4 as of yet. I'm assuming they would make the coding generic, similar to how the code for the various types of gamepads is all the same and is handled internally, you just need to assign actions to each generic input.

I swear I saw a story about a Vive game already having been released, though. Some stupid simulator game.

BASIC and FORTH
YOU JUST GOT DONE COMPLAINING ABOUT OLD LANGUAGES
wtf

What? When did I complain about old languages? All I said is that I hated C#.

That's lame.
