Comcast, i dont understaaaand
you dont have comcast though??

This is pretty good, but I can tell you for certain, that I do not actually experience this.
I'm sure my uni throttles the internet in some way.

Ultimately though, it doesn't really make much difference how fast it is, because it constantly goes out, I can't host anything whatsoever (no access to port-forwarding or firewall), I can't play online games on my Xbox (They have a type 2 NAT), and on my laptop I can hardly ever get a clear quality video-call home, despite my internet apparently being great here, and my parents also being decent on Fibre Optic.

I remember one day when my dad had to go to NY for some reason. He was facetiming us on his phone, in the subway on 4G and I had server lag on broadband, lol.

Anyways, I'm going to get 12mbps next week. :D

This is in Megabytes/second. It's worth noting that I can achieve 13 MBytes/s download speeds in steam quite easily and that I don't share this with anyone who does much more than watching YouTube. For example, in Doobles' case he probably has to share that connection with his entire University which is why he experiences lower speeds than the speedtest says he gets

This is in Megabytes/second.

Note the b in "Mb/s" being lowercase. It is in fact Megabits/second

boy do I wish 70MB/s speeds were reasonable for regular people

i pay $70 and get 18 mbps down and 6 up  :panda:
I (actually my mother but w/e) pay the same amound and get

Not sure I understand your point, or are you just giving out superfluous information for the hell of it?

it could be worse

once you run out of "anytime" allowance it drops your speeds down to less than 0.25Mb/s
"bonus bytes" allowance tends to be a lot higher than the regular one buuut it can only be used from 2am to 8am so lol
even worse is that, for some reason, even though every single plan has 50GB of that "bonus bytes" allowance, we only get 15GB ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

and check out that ping
