Author Topic: I need help troubleshooting my ipod  (Read 529 times)

So I own a 16 gig 4th gen iPod and lately it's been weird. Sometimes it will just randomly shut off with like half the battery left. When I type it lags. Sometimes it repeats a second of a song. And today it decided to say my memory was almost full. Last time I checked I had over 2 gigs left and I have not downloaded anything since then and I deleted pictures. Any ideas?

you've probably had it for 30 years and it got old, get an iphone 6+

I don't need a smartphone when an iPod can do just as much. Besides I would get an android. It is actually 3 years old.

apple products are supposed to last a maximum of 2.5 years. get a new device

Either try getting a new battery or performing a factory reset before getting a new device.

have you tried a factory reset?

OP, try restoring via iTunes.

I guess I will back everything up and do a factory reset.

I don't think it does because I deleted one game and lost all progress when I redownloaded it. I believe it stores achievements.

bring it to an apple store.

i hear so much from apple people about the great service they give. its apparently half the reason they all own apple products. so it must be wonderful!
