I'm really interested in seeing what happens with the LEGO game. However, my biggest fear is that it will be too censored and dumbed-down so it can cater to a younger audience. I love Blockland because I have the option to do whatever the hell I want. If I want to have (what some people in the world may see as) "horribly offensive" content in my server, then I have that option without fear of being banned. I wouldn't necessarily get that permission in LEGO's game, I can be damn sure of that. Badspot stays out of the personal affairs of users as long as it doesn't affect his relationship as a game producer with the customers. But, it could turn out that being "kiddie" might not be such a bad thing (like the Nintendo Wii, or the LEGO Star Wars series of games).
In short, I'm afraid the Lego game will be too kiddie for me to have as much fun in it as I do in Blockland. One large reason I like to play Blockland is because 'Step 1: Games' (pretty much Badspot) is an independent developer and doesn't have to uphold the image of a multi-national toy company like LEGO, which allows the user experience in Blockland to vary much better for an adult's taste in gaming.
