Not directly at it, no, in the same way you shouldn't look directly at the sun at any other time.
But you can look in the general area of it.
You can also get filtered eclipse glasses (not sunglasses) which filter out around 95+% of the light, so you can't see anything when wearing them except from the sun.
And then you can create pinhole viewers, which let the light through a pin-hole and cast an image of the eclipse onto a surface below.
