"legally blind" means that as far as the law is concerned, you're blind. even if you're not literally blind, your vision can be bad enough that you basically are, and that's legally blind

Why cannibals? Cannibalism is eating a living being of your same species. Humans kill animals to eat but they're animals as well. A fox kills other animals to eat but it's an animal as well and not considered cannibalism if said animal isn't a fox as well. Birds eating other birds isn't cannibalism unless it is of the same species.
