Make maps on a Mac for BL

pls someone help me i have been wanting to make maps for the longest of time

and don't include anything that "might" work unless you KNOW IT WILL WORK
i have posted this question for to many times to count but i need a answer i can use not loose...

There is a method that involves editing main.cs which would probably work on a mac, but it forgets up dedicated servers, plus, I don't remember exactly what to edit...
