Author Topic: Hexagon Brick  (Read 4308 times)

/title. A brick that can overlap to form a sort of a playing field like in a turn-based strategy game. If it isn't too much to ask, if there could be bordering around it to define the edges, it would be much obliged.

Oh right, dimensions.. Maybe a 6x6, but if you're going to take the time to make this, you might as well make a couple variations and release it as a pack. Thanks for reading. :)

I think 7x6 is closest.
16x14 is a perfect fit
So would be 8x7, but vertically it would not be a good idea to have odd numbers, as you would need 2 bricks / size, since the middlepoint would come off the grid, making the hexagon grid placing basically impossible.

Well, I can make whatever size work for my purposes i suppose, but not without some trouble though. This is meant to be for a game field that you operate bots on so I can scale the bots up to 5 times the scale if need be.

it should tessellate perf if the sides are equal shouldn't it

I'll give 16x14 a try.

Those are fantastic for my purpose. The round edged ones are my favorite.

I have decided to no longer use rounded edges in favor of side textures & ModTer prints.
RIP.
