Author Topic: Looking at a computer  (Read 2191 times)

Even with the massive rebate, I still wouldn't get it; OEM computers like those built by DELL, HP etc are built to last until the day after the warranty expires and uses proprietary components that are difficult if not impossible to upgrade. Here's one I've put together for you:

$434.42 /w combo rebates, $443.62 without

everyone will tell you everything sucks and to build your own computer anyways

I don't believe you

build your own computer

HP computers are bad in my opinion (my aunt's HP desktop is pretty much dead, it will freeze up after being on it for a couple of minutes and when you reboot the system nothing shows on the screen and there is no disk activity). If you don't want to build your own (although I recommend you do), you might want to do some searching online and find one with some good reviews and stuff.

Well I'll be honest the last time we had a HP computer was my brother's computer and the hdd got messed up out of nowhere and the internals and layout of the computer was made in the stufftest worst way imaginable, so I couldn't even fix it easily,  anyways the computer was stuff and he had it for years anyway so we just said forget it.
While of course your computer isn't done in the same way lime my brother's, you should still be weary that the parts of the computer could be extremely cheap and can cause something like this.

there's absolutely no reason not to build your own computer, if you're really looking to get less for your money then yeah go ahead

we know it's not what you asked, but we're telling you this anyway because it's better and you should do it

Except I asked what I asked because I do not want to build a computer

AMD has the quality of Intel for better prices. Intel is like Mac and AMD is like Windows, pay for the same stuff just with a different logo
