My paternal grandmother died a couple of months ago, I don't really remember her without the dementia. She couldn't remember anything including our names so I never had much of a connection with her. When she died I didn't really feel anything and I felt horrible for it. None of my close relatives have died since my maternal grandfather's death in 2000 (he died on my dads birthday). My only grandparent I have left is my mother's mother who is 91 years old. She doesn't have anything wrong with her besides a few vision problems so I knew her a lot better than my other grandmother. I'm greatly sorry for your loss but instead of being sad try to look at the good things she has done in her life. Celibrating someone's life is always better than mourning over their death.
