I think you'd see the same though if you took one over most countries/country-sides for extended periods of time.

The way I see it, things we consider weird are normal to others. France for example the practice of eating snails and frog legs is weird to us over in the States.

True, but I think love with animals is uncommon in most societies. It's not so comparable to French cuisine liking horse, snails and frogs, or asian cuisines liking insects.
It's not like all of the Middle-Eastern/Arab people are all into having love with goats, donkeys and camels, or even a majority.
There just happen to be a few of them who don't mind doing it, and have been caught on camera doing so.
