automatic captions are a feature that attempts to transcribe spoken words in videos to subtitles. it doesn't understand accents or dialects, so half the time you'll get garbage that sort of sounds like what people are saying

I don't understand why they haven't fixed or at least drastically improved it yet.

We have the technology. Look at Google Now or Siri.

all their attention and time is geared towards making money off of the millions of people who watch the same 13 spastic 20 year olds play the same game.
