2. if you can get right to your router main page without typing in the password then you have updated. Click applications and gaming
If you haven't updated then log in using your password:
For ungraded router the username and password should be root, and password admin, by default.

The default username and password is different for almost every router, also, most linksys routers don't have an actual username. When finding out what router you have, the model number is very important, and is usually available somewhere on the router (varies, sometimes its on a sticker, other times it could be part of the router name).
