Maybe improved visuals and effects but keep the game mechanics the same. Making it like its FPS counterparts wouldn't bode well.

I'd like a isometric counterpart as it's own game rather than a remake, that would be cool.
Wasteland 2 was almost this, but it kinda fell flat on it's ass :(

then i'd like to state rn that i only suggest this since the GUI from the original games are the worst to navigate and more modern sound and graphics would maybe make more of the original lore easier to find for newer players
