Directors cut of Wasteland 2 is a bit better from what I have seen far. If only they fixed the dismissed companions bug.

Honestly if there were a fallout-inspired modern isometric game, I'd almost want it to be it's own original IP rather than a spinoff. Less adaptational baggage to worry about.
