it's really disappointing to have something you were looking forward to finding out taken away from you. it's a form of injustice, and everyone reacts to things differently. there's really no reason to judge someone for having a negative reaction to something that is actually worth getting upset over.
It doesn't make sense to treat someone or a group of people like they need to "hit the brakes" on their feelings towards something, especially when those feelings aren't unjustified or remarkably extreme.

It's not really taken "" seriously, "" people just want to see/read/play/find out the endings for things for themselves and it ruins the buildup if you know what's going to happen
