Bushido:

the problem is it doesn't make any sense

like super sledge used to not make sense (why would we give soldiers a melee weapon on purpose) but then now that it's just a weird post apocalyptic thing it sort of comes together, but the power fist has been nonsense from day one

the only justification i can come up with for unarmed as a whole is that power armor fighting is actually super hard and cumbersome because it's not designed for powerful sharp movements as much as it is slow tactile ones, like manipulating a gun or using tools and melee weapons on the whole stop become extremely hard to handle so you're forced to used your fists

'unarmed' stops being 'literally without a weapon' and more like 'using your power armor as a weapon' or maybe 'general handling of your power armor as a whole' and leveling unarmed lets you move faster, hit harder and do sick super armor combos

have you seen the size of your fists in power armor

its more like "there isnt a weapon thats built to power armor scale, and your fists are the size of loving basketballs and your arms are powered by hydraulics and you can be more accurate with them"

its also my way of becoming a space marine, so

Bushido:

thats what im saying, yes

It didn't really make any sense
How was it high tech? Just heavier than a normal sledge?
The new super sledge seems like a post-war design that would actually be feasible rather than a big "high tech" hammer

Bushido:

i think the justification was that it's basically a piston on a stick
