They are both trial and error since hacking only has a 10 second time out now.

It gets annoying after a while. It kinda breaks the pacing of the game for me. Lock picking takes significantly less time and effort. I do enjoy hacking a little but its just too often and sometimes with just too little reward.
granted there are master locks that are safeguarding a few lockpicks and a measly amount of ammo

I'm pretty strict on "cheating" mods but all this does is remove the slow and boring guessing aspect of it. Doesn't change anything except the time spent.
